Scripture to Live By:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Matthew 7:21-27
Recipe Post:
I saw this recipe on Allrecipes.com It looked so yummy that I just had to try it. It was different than any I had ever made. I changed the ingredients slightly. So good.
1 (8ounce) package of cream cheese
1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk
2 (3.5 ounce) packages of instant banana pudding mix
3 cups of cold milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (16 ounce) container of Cool Whip thawed (divided)
4 bananas sliced
1 package vanilla wafers (12 ounce) (divided)
Beat cream cheese, pudding mix and condensed milk together and add milk one cup at a time, then add 1/3 of the container of Cool whip and beat until smooth.
Line the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch dish with vanilla wafers. Arrange banana slices evenly over the wafers.
Line a row of wafers around the sides of the dish as well.
Spread the pudding mixture over the bananas and crust.
Spread the rest of the Cool Whip over the banana pudding mixture.
Crush the rest of the vanilla wafers in a zip lock bag using a rolling pin. Sprinkle the crushed crumbs over the top.
Chill in the refrigerate until ready to serve.
Top with a couple of banana slices on individual servings when you are ready to serve.
This is a great twist to Banana Pudding.
Blessings,
