Scripture to Live By:
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me,bless his holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 103:1-5
It is the time to give thanks and praise to God for all He has done for us. These few verses gives us at least five things that we can bless and praise the Lord for.
1. For the forgiveness of all our sins.
2. For healing of all our diseases.
3. For redeeming our lives from the pit.
4. He crowns us with His steadfast love.
5. For His great mercy in withholding what we deserve.
6. For satisfying us with good things.
Below is a good thing that is satisfying to the taste.
Recipe Post:
We purchased a pork loin at Sam’s Club and had them cut the loin into pork chops that can be stuffed. The butcher is willing to cut them into the thickness you would like them to be. He does this for free.
Ingredients:
1 box of stuffing mix
1 1/2 cups of Craisins divided
1/2 cup of Pecans chopped
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon tarragon
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cups of Cranberry Juice divided
4 teaspoons of corn starch
Cook 4 stuffing pork chops in the crock pot until tender. Cook in 1 cup of cranberry juice, 2 bay leaves and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. I cook them on high for approximately 2 hours, with lid on crock pot.
Remove from Crock pot, salt and pepper each side and brown, on both sides, in a hot skillet, coated with cooking spray or oil.
Fix Stuffing mix according to the directions on the box and then add 3/4 cup of Craisins and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans. Mix well.
Remove pork chops from frying pan. In a measuring cup or bowl, mix in 2 cups of cranberry juice, 4 teaspoons of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of dried parsley and tarragon and mix unto well blended. Pour into the skillet and bring to a boil and let it boil until it begins to thicken. Add 3/4 cup of Craisens and cook until thickened.
While the sauce is cooking you can stuff your pork chops with the stuffing mix.
After you get the chops stuffed place them in the sauce in the skillet. If you have extra stuffing, you can add it to your pan, as well.
Put the lid on your skillet and cook for at least 20 minutes so the flavors can blend well as they simmer together. They looks so yummy.
