Home Improvement:
This little bathroom started out as a back porch on our home. It is only 40 inches wide by 6 foot 3 inches long. So you can see it is not large at all. The former owners enclosed it as a second bath room, off from the kitchen. When we bought the house we decided to redo it. We gutted the room and my husband built the shower area from scratch. A friend and our son tiled the shower and I grouted it.
My husband laid a laminate wood floor and put in the petal stool sink and commode.
We also put a hand towel rack above the commode and one on the door to the bathroom. We put a toilet tissue hanger on the wall. We put a basket on the back of the commode to hold extra toilet tissue.
I did the wall papering of the walls.
Because of the lack of the room in this bathroom I made a towel hanger from a flower hanger and was able to have several towels and wash clothes hanging right by the shower.
We put in a new medicine cabinet, which covered the width of one wall.
Even though it is small, it has room for every thing you need to have in a second bathroom. We made use of every inch of space. We are so thankful to have a second bathroom, especially when we have company.
