Scripture to Live By:
1 Timothy 6:6-10
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out., and having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
I made this cake for our Pastor’s granddaughter. She really likes Barbie Dolls and any thing that is Barbie. She is such an adorable little girl. I made the cake for her 6th birthday. She looks a lot like this picture of Barbie. She was so pleased with the cake and even more pleased with the Barbie doll I got her for her birthday.
This cake is 18 1/2 x 12 1/2. Go here to see how to make a cake this size.
First, I frosted the cake with white frosting and then I misted it with Wilton Violet Cool Mist.
Then I put purple borders on the cake. Next I laminated a picture of Barbie. (I laminated the picture so the frosting would not bleed through the paper.) I put the picture of Barbie in the upper center of the cake.
Next I framed the picture with purple frosting borders.
This child can read print, so I printed Happy Birthday, Destynee so she could read it on her cake.
Next, I added some pink roses with green leaves and then put some different color heart all over the cake.
When you are ready to serve the cake, simply lift the picture off the cake and clean the frosty off. Now the picture can be framed as a keep-sake.
Hope you like it.
