Scripture to Live By:
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise
shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in
the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!
I sought the Lord, and he
answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant, and their
faces shall never be ashamed.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his
troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is
good! Blessed
is the man who takes refuge in him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you his
saints, for those who fear him have no lack!
The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack
no good thing.
Come, O children, listen to me; I
will teach you the fear of the Lord.
What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see
good?
Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue
it.
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.
The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them
from the earth.
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is
near to the brokenhearted and saves the
crushed in spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but
the Lord delivers him out of them all.
He keeps all
his bones; not
one of them is broken.
Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems
the life of his servants; none of those who take
refuge in him will be condemned.
Psalm 34
Recipe Post: I make rolls a lot, and the recipe I usually use takes a couple of hours to mix-up recipe, let it rise, and bake. I had guests in our home and wanted to have rolls to go with our meal, but didn’t have time to fix my normal recipe, so I looked on the Internet and found a recipe that was called 30 Minute Rolls recipe at Real Mom Kitchen. I have adapted it to our taste and serving. I made these while our guest were floating in the river, at our house, and when they returned, they were amazed to see I had made rolls and they were ready to go in the oven. I let them raise for approximately 15 minutes before I baked them, so it took mine a little longer. So if you need home made rolls in a short time why not try these.
Ingredients
2 cups of warm water
1/4 cup of yeast
2/3 cup of sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon of salt
2/3 cup of Oil
2 eggs beaten
7 cups of flour
Instruction:
In a mixing bowl combine water, yeast, sugar, and oil . Let rest for 10 minutes. It will begin to bubble.
Mix in salt and beaten eggs. With dough hook, mix in one cup of flour at a time until the dough pulls away from the sides and is no longer sticky. (make take a little more flour to get this result)
Spray a pan that will hold 3 dozen rolls. (I use a 12 1/2 x 18 1/2 inch pan. A little bit smaller pan could be used.)
Shape dough into 36 rolls. Put in pan as you shape them. (I let mine raise for 10-15 minutes, covered with a towel.) Preheat over 350 degrees. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until tops are golden brown .
(After rolls are baked, as soon as I take them out of the oven, while they are still in the pan, I spray them with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.)
They are yummy with any meal or eaten alone. We like them with melted butter, honey or jellies and jam.
They are quick and easy to make and delicious to eat. Our family thought they were just wonderful and so did all the people I shared them with. I made batch of them the other day and took some to my neighbor and three families at church. So if you want to share a little love these Easy Light Rolls make an excellent gifts to give to neighbors, friends, people at work or church. There are so many that could be encouraged to see someone thought of them and cared enough to give them blessing given from their own hand.
Blessings,
