Scripture to Live By:
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:2-7
Many people have told me that my lasagna is the best they have ever eaten. I made it for a missions conference a few weeks ago and I was ask for the recipe, so I thought I would share it on my blog so others could enjoy it as well. So the following is what you will need if you want to make it.
3 jars of Thick and Hearty Ragu Sauce
1 pound of ground beef or chicken
3 ounces of Parmesan cheese
1/2 pound of pepperoni
1 pound of mozzarella cheese
12 lasagna noodles
The first thing I do is fry up the ground beef or chicken and set it aside. Then I put the pepperoni on the microwave tray, lined with paper towels, and micro the pepperoni for 1 minute to get some of the excess grease out of it. Then I put paper towels on top of the cooked pepperoni to absorb the excess grease on the top of it.
Place the pepperoni in a dish and set aside.
Heat water with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon cooking oil to the boiling point.
(The oil helps to keep the lasanga noodles from sticking together.)
Put the noodles in the water. Cook according to the instruction on the box.
When noodle are tender remove from heat and drain liquid.
Spray a 9 x 13 inch dish with cooking spray.
Mix ground meat in skillet with Ragu. Simmer together while the noodles are cooking.
Coat the bottom of the dish with sauce.
Sprinkle sauce with Parmesan cheese.
Then place three or four lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
Top the noddles with pepperoni.
Top pepperoni with Mozzerella cheese.
Repeat layers.
Try to get 3 layers of noodles in your dish.
Top with Mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes to give it time to set.
Yummy!
Blessings to you,
