Saying to Live By

Scripture to Live By: 

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant  or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Craft Post: 

I have seen this saying at different times and I just loved it, so I thought I would make me a plaque to go in my home with it on it. Here is how I made it:

I typed the saying in my computer and put each line in a different font.

  

Then I saved it to a disk. I took it to local office supply store and ask them to enlarge it for me to two foot by three foot poster.

 I then started looking for frames to fit it, but every thing I saw didn’t look right because I had to much plain paper around the words. I was looking for a frame that would be long enough, but not nearly as wide. Low and behold, I found one that I had never used before right at home in my picture frames. It was thirteen inches by thirty one inches. Perfect length and I could cut the paper to fit the frame. I was thrilled. I cut the paper and put the saying in the frame. I wanted to add just a touch of color so I added a couple of floral decals to the bottom of the saying.

 I still thought it needed something else, so I decided to put some Ivy around the frame. I had some on hand. Using a glue gun, I started on one side about half way down and then across the top and down the other side approximately three fourths of the way down.

 

I have the plaque hanging on my wall in the kitchen.  Everyone that comes into my kitchen can see the goals we have set to make our home a place where love is our greatest desire, and to extend it to others in the way mentioned on the plaque.  I am so very thankful for whoever put these words together, I do not know who to accredit this saying to, but this saying is my desire to live it out in our home day by day always.
