Scripture to Live By:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:7-12
Recipe Post:
2 bunches of fresh broccoli
1 head of fresh Cauliflower
2 can of Cream of Chicken Soup
1 12 ounce package of shredded cheddar cheese
1 large can of French’s Fried Onion (I buy them by the bag at Sam’s Club, so I use approximately 2 1/2 cups of them)
Wash the broccoli and cauliflower and then cut it into florets.
I cook my broccoli and cauliflower in the microwave oven so I divided it into two dishes for cooking.
Cook until tender. I cooked this 8 minutes each dish.
Then I put them in one large bowl. Set aside while mixing other ingredients in a separate bowl.
Mix two cans of cream of chicken soup, 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
and 1 1/2 cups of French’s Fried Onions. Mix well.
After you have mixed the above ingredients well, pour over the broccoli and cauliflower, as seen below.
Mix well.
Spray casserole dish with cooking spray,
Pour Broccoli and Cauliflower casserole into dish.
Top with another cup of French’s Fried Onions
Top with another cup of cheddar cheese.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees in a preheated oven for 35 minutes.
When tender remove from oven and remove Alumni foil.
Cool slightly before serving.
This casserole is one of our favorites. My daughter-in-law was the one who introduced us to this dish at our family get-together. We all liked it so well we would request her to make it each Christmas and Easter and various other times. We didn’t spend Thanksgiving with them this year, so I decided to make it myself, and it turned out very well, so I decided to share it with you. Hope you like it.
Blessings,

I plan on trying this casserole soon. I have always disliked green bean casserole, but I think this one will be the perfect replacement!! Thanks for sharing!
Would anything need to be changed if I use frozen broccoli?
No, you will not need to change anything. Just cook the frozen first as you would cook the fresh before using it in the recipe. Thank for you question and for viewing my post.
