Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.”
I am so glad that God welcomes me to call on him, in prayer, at any time or in any place. He is always available. Matthew 7:7,8 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
I never knock on his door and find that he is not at home. He never replies, “Come back another time for I am to busy.” He does tell me to cast all my care upon him, for he cares for me.
Have you ever had folks come “calling” at your home and you were not home. They knock and knock but to no avail. They decide to leave you a note, but after searching their purse and car for pen and paper, they leave frustrated because they couldn’t make contact with you. They wanted to at least leave you a note, and let you know they had been there. This has happened to me on several occasions, and I have been disappointed that I had not been able to make any contact with them.
So I purchased a dry erase board. I decided that it would make the perfect note pad to leave a message on. I also purchased dry erase markers and velcro, so I could attach a pen to the board. No more looking for pen and paper. I placed the board outside beside my entrance door. I wanted it to be seen as visitors were knocking. The board was plain black and white so I decided to brighten it up.
Here is what I did:
I bought paints, brushes, velcro, dry erase pens and picture hangers.
My husband put the picture hangers in the proper place. The ones that came
with it were not in the proper places for the way I wanted to hang the board.
I painted a floral arrangement in the corners and wrote on it to leave a note
and to thank them for doing so. I sprayed it with a clear satin finish sealer.
I cut a piece of velcor and attached it to the pen and the board, and placed it as seen in the photo.
I then displayed it on the wall, by the entrance door.
So whenever friends or family come to my house, and I am not home, My “Outdoor Note Board” will be available to them.
I am reminded as I look at my board that I can call on my heavenly Father at anytime, in any place. I don’t have to leave a note. He is always available.
