Scripture To Live By:
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
Matthew 1:18-25
Recipe Post:
With the Holidays upon us and with much entertaining going on, both for the Christmas and New Year celebration, most of us are looking for ideas for parties. There are so many good recipes out there but I think these Party Meat Pies are just super for any party. I really enjoy making extra, so I can put the leftovers in the freeze and pull them out at a later date to enjoy just as snack.
What you will need to make these Party Meat Pies:
1 large Green Pepper chopped finely
1 large can of mushrooms chopped finely
1 large onion chopped finely or use onion flakes
1 ½ pounds of ground beef (I used ground chicken breast.)
Cook until brown
Add: 2 can of tomato paste
1 can of tomato sauce or soup
1 Tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
Simmer for 3 minutes
After meat mixture is cooked, line each baking cup with crescent rolls as seen below.
Sometimes it takes a little more than one roll to fill the baking cup, depending on the size of your cups. (I use about l and 1/4 to 1/2 rolls for each cup.)
Fill each cup with meat mixture.
Bake at 350 degree for 15 minutes or until brown.
So if you are looking for a delicious party or snack treat, try these pies. They will be a hit at any of your holiday gatherings.
Super YUMMY!
Blessings,

My mother in law makes something like this as a large pie with a top crust also. They are a favorite in the family. I bet these are great too.

Vicky, I used to make these with pie crust dough and would have a top crust as well. I made these a while ago using the crescent rolls and decided I liked the flavor better and I also like that I am not getting as much crust. I like this better. I am glad your mother-in-law makes this as a large pie. That would be great as well. Thank you for sharing. Have a great Christmas, Blessings, Jo-Ann

The pies look wonderful, Jo Ann. I love the scripture as well. I have that same tiered Christmas plate stand that you are serving these on…it was my mom's and she used it for years! I love serving off of it now. 🙂

Thank you Kristi, I am so glad you love the scripture. The tiered Christmas plate stand was given to me as a gift from a friend many years ago. I so appreciate it and think of her each time I use it. She is gone but each year the reminder is there. I too, love serving off it. Thank you so much for your comment, such an encouragement. May you have a wonderful Christmas. Blessings, Jo-Ann
