Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your gloryin the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infantsyou have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands;you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky,and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8
Our yard has come alive with flowers and the beauty of them is incredible. I stand in awe as I look around and see the beauty that God has created.
My husband made me this bridge for my birthday. I really enjoy it, as I cross it to go up and swing and look over the beautiful scenery that is all around. It is such a calming place. The little bell we brought from our home in Ohio.
Most of the flowers in my gardens have been given to me by various friends.
The Red Hot Pokers were given to me by my mother.
This thriving, Bleeding Heart has grown so large that I have divided it, and it is about ready to divide again. The fern is one we brought from our home in Ohio when we moved .
I started the Lupine from seed, and it’s one of my favorites.
I really love Azalea bushes. This one is doing better than others I have, not sure why the others seem to struggle.
Snow in Summer is another plant I started from seeds, and it comes up every year.
This Clematis has been moved several times, as I’m trying to find the spot where it will flourish.
Not sure that this is the right spot, but it is doing some better. My daughter has Clematis that grows unbelievably in her yard, and I’m a little envious.
Rhododendrons are plentiful in our yard; they are beautiful this time of the year.
Red Hot Pokers are growing in various areas of our yard. They have greatly multiplied.
This Foxglove was also started from seed. These come up every year, perhaps from the seeds that fall into the ground.
The Oriental Poppy is just starting to bloom.
We have Peonies in several flower beds.
What beauty they add to our yard when they are all in bloom!
Our well house is surrounded with flowers and rocks. It’s along the side of our driveway, and it adds beauty as you arrive at our home.
My daughter and I used these bricks that were left-over from building the house,
and made this little walkway.
Our home is on a river and this winch was used to raise and lower the former owner’s ramp. We have planted various flowers around it that bloom at various times of the year.
We have three families of geese that have chosen our place as their home. They have eighteen goslings all together.
My husband came and asked for the camera, so He could take some pictures of birds who were raising their young in the houses we put up in early spring. Below you will see a few pictures of them.
This is one of them, it is home to Barn Swallows. Do you see the little head looking out the hole? My husband was thrilled when that house finally was made a home for them.
Go here to see the blog post about our bird houses.
Here is a house we put up a couple of years ago which is home for the Blue Bird family.
My husband believes this is the home for House Sparrows, you can’t see them but you know they are there as they are not very tidy house keepers.
These Robins decided they wanted to build their own home at the entrance of our garage.
Here you see mama and papa feeding their little ones. So precious.
Mama doesn’t want to wake the babies, so she just waits at the nest, with their food.
We are so very thankful for this beautiful place, in the rolling hills of West Virginia, and all the beautiful sights of nature we are able to see living on a river. One morning as we sat in our sun room a Bald Eagle flew right up in front of our window as we watched. We have seen them many times, so we believe they are nesting close by.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing the sights that we see on a daily basis. It is so refreshing to enjoy nature and all the master pieces God has designed and shared with us. We are very blessed to get to spend our time enjoying them.
Blessings,

I always get my best ideas when I can see posts like this! Your ground looks so rich and beautiful,
not like this red Ozark clay soil we have here. I hope you don't mind, I grabbed your button in your sidebar and added it to my short list of favorite blogs in my sidebar. I'm going to have to take more time to look around your blog and get caught up on what I've missed!
