Scripture to Live By:
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 46:10
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Psalm 56:3
In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
When I am fearful about situations I have no control over, I must follow God’s instruction found in Philippians 4:6,7, which reads:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
If I want to overcome my fearful anxiety I must do what God’s word says. God also says, if I love him I will obey Him.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: 1 John 4:18
God’s Word is such a comfort to me, no matter what I may be fearful about. When I focus upon God and the promises I find in His Word my fears subside.
Recipe Post:
With the end of our gardening season we have a variety of squash on hand. Some of us are looking for new recipes to use our squash in. Here is a very simple recipe to use Spaghetti Squash.
What you will need:
1 Spaghetti Squash
1 jar of Alfredo sauce
Parmesan Cheese
10 or more meat balls (You can use any kind of meatballs. If you would like to try a healthier recipe for meatballs click here.
Wash the outside of your squash. Cut it lengthwise, and remove the seeds as shown below.
There are several ways you can cook spaghetti squash. You can bake it in the oven, microwave it or cook it in the crock pot.
If you choose to cook it in the oven, place the squash in a 9 x 13 dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour or until tender. Remove aluminum foil away from you, so steam can escape and you will not get burned from the steam. Let cool.
Or, bake in a crock pot, adding a cup of water and bake approximately 8 hours on low. Let cool.
After squash is cool, drain any water that may be in it.
I prefer cooking it in the microwave oven. Cook in microwave oven for 10 minutes, in a covered dish, add 1/4 cup of water to the dish. (If not tender cook for a couple of minutes longer. Remove the lid away from you so the steam will expel away from you, drain any liquid. Let cool.
Using a fork gently rake the spaghetti from the shell onto your plates.
Set aside plates of spaghetti squash until you heat the meatballs and the Alfredo sauce.
Place meatballs on serving dish and top with the Alfredo sauce and Parmesan cheese. .
This is an easy, healthy, and delicious meal to fix.
Spaghetti squash has a texture like pasta. It is good with spaghetti sauce and meat balls as well, but I would highly recommend you try it with Alfredo Sauce and meatballs. We are sold on it. The spaghetti squash is a substitute for pasta and the Chicken Breast Meatballs are a healthy substitute for beef meatball. To make it even healthier you could make your own Alfredo Sauce to get the recipe go here .
Hope you will try it and enjoy it as much as we do.
Blessings,

Thanks for sharing with us for Tasty Tuesday! I love spaghetti squash, and always use it in place of noodles with marinara sauce. I've never tried it with alfredo, but will have to be sure and do that! ~Holley
Thank you Holley for your comment. I never dreamed it was so good, I certainly think it taste better than pasta. I like it with marinara sauce as well. It was a treat with Alfredo Sauce and meatballs for us. Thank you for having your party each week. Have a great week, Blessings to you, Jo-Ann
