Recipe Post:
Tasty Hummus Dip
Things you will need:
2 15 ounce cans of garbanzo beans (drained and reserve liquid)
Place garbanzo beans in food processor.
Add 2 cloves of crushed garlic
(I used a heaping tablespoon of minced garlic.)
Add 1/4 cup tahini.
Add 1/2 cup lemon juice
Add 2 teaspoons cumin;1/4 cup liquid from beans and
3 Tablespoons of olive oil (or more to thin mixture)
Salt and cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
Put all ingredients in food processor and blend until it’s a creamy consistency
(add more olive oil if needed)
Sprinkle with paprika if desired.
There are many ways to serve this Tasty Hummus Dip. I have shown them below served as a Hummus Burrito, as a dip with Nachos, with fresh veggies and as an appetizer.
Serve as a Hummus Burrito with all the trimmings.
For the burrito I have cut up lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers,
green peppers and added some cheddar cheese. I have used Italian dressing on it.
Spread Tasty Hummus over one side of soft taco then add the fresh vegetables.
Onions
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Green Peppers
Lettuce
Cheddar Cheese
Add Italian Dressing
Serve with a few tortilla chips, and you have a great lunch.
Serve as a dip with tortilla chips
Serve as an appetizer. (Serve hummus on pita bites and topped with cherry tomatoes.)
Serve with veggies and crackers.
Hummus is made with healthy ingredients and can be made in various flavors and served in a variety of ways and on various occasions. I enjoy it and hope you will also.

I've never had hummus but I've heard about how great it is. Didn't even know you could make it yourself. Maybe I will be brave and try it out!

That does look good! My first experience with hummus was at a local restaurant. They serve it with warm homemade pita chips. Three small bowls with the hummus, Jarlsberg cheese and homemade salsa…It's so good!
