Scripture to Live By:
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-14
Organization Post:
In our home it is time to organize, to keep and to throw away.
In the home we bought, there is a breezeway. We needed a wash/craft/storage room,so we decided to turn the breeze way into a multipurpose room. We had purchased many white Kraft Maid cabinets from a sale at our local fair grounds. This was a few years back, for only $30.00 a cabinet, a tremendous savings. We have enough of these to complete several projects. We put some of them in the breeze way and bought indoor/outdoor carpet to go on the floor. The drapes were already in this room when we bought the house so we left them.
This room became a catch all for anything we didn’t know where to put. Now it was time to do some organizing and to get everything in its place and to throw away what is no longer needed.
So here is what it looked like before I started cleaning it up. (I am ashamed to admit I let it get in this big of a mess, but I did.) It has taken us much to long to get things in their rightful places. I never dreamed it would take so long to try to get organized after moving. (We are still getting there and it will still take awhile to go through all we brought here but we are working on it.) We have acquired so much stuff over the past 49 years of marriage. I will not bore you with all the details, but I will show you that it is possible to clean it up and to work at organizing it.
BEFORE
AFTER
We put all the Crock Pots, extra coffee maker, large pots, George Foreman Grill. Toaster Oven and etc. above the cabinets.
I emptied out the cabinets and the drawers, so I could organize the things I put back in.
Paint Drawer to store all my different paints which included. acrylic, oil, glass, face paint and poster paints.
Scrapbooking shelf
Sewing Drawer
Washer and Dryer area,
Ribbon & Shadow Box, Sewing books and Sewing Machine,
Cricket and other crafting items are on the counter top, for easy access.
Canned Goods area
Video Shelves
Looking from the Wash Room Area to the end of the Room.
Now you tell me, was all the work worth it. I must say, YES!!!
What a huge relief to be able to go in this room and have it organized. I just like to stand and look at my accomplishment. If you have any areas that look like this one did. I challenge you to take the first step and then the second and third and forth to make it happen. The sense of how good it feels to have it cleaned and to know where every thing is, is incredible. My goal is to disciple myself to put things in their rightful place or make a rightful place for them at the time I get them out so this will not happen again. I challenge you to do the same.
Blessings,

Thank you so much. I just hope I will discipline my self to put back when I take out and not let it get in that mess again. It is a discipline constantly. Blessings, Jo-Ann
AWESOME JOB! This makes me want to go organize my pantry and all of my closets! LOL
Thank you so much Cindy for your encouraging comment. I want to work of self discipline moment by moment to put away whatever I get out and put it back in the place it belongs. It feels so good to get things more organized. I would love to learn it is easier to discipline my self to put away in proper places what I take out rather than be embarassed when I have a mess. I have tried to teach my children to do this as children and yet I see myself having to teach my self constantly. Blessings, Jo-Ann

You surely need a much bigger place to keep them nice, right now they seem very crowded, but arranged good.
Thank you for your comment. I would like to have a bigger place but it is not in the picture as of now. So I will have to do with what I have. Still in the process of trying to know what to keep and what to give away. Blessings.
