Pineapple Upside Down Cake

This is a quick and easy recipe to make, yet it is a delight to the eyes and yummy to the taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 pineapple cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • cup of oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 ½ cans of sliced pineapple
  • maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • Sprinkle brown sugar on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Add melted butter.
  • Put 1 1/2 cans of sliced pineapple over the brown sugar and butter as seen below.
  • Put a maraschino cherry in the center of each pineapple slice.
  • Mix pineapple cake mix according to directions on the box. Pour over the pineapples.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown and when you touch the center of cake it bounces back. Then remove from the oven.
  • Let it set for only a few minutes and then turn the cake out onto a serving dish. The pineapples with be on the top.
  • Cut into 12 servings.
