Scripture to Live By:
The Apostle Paul penned:
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,( or rendered powerless) that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
Rom 6:6
For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever (Or you do not do what you want to do) you want.
Gal 5:17
(The next verses were penned by Apostle Paul shortly before he died.)
For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
2 Tim. 4:6-8
Oh, to be able to say with the Apostle Paul, when my life has come down to its last chapter. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. My desire is to die daily to myself and live for Christ.
Recipe Post:
Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the fall colors and all the foliage colors. We are surrounded by mountains and daily we watch their changes. I also like the harvesting of crops from our raised gardens. I also like this time of year because it is the time of year that I see Indian corn and Autumn Mix in the stores along with an abundance of candy corn. It is the time of year to make lots of Autumn Party Mix. This mix is so good. It’s hard to leave alone, once you’ve made it. I want share it with you.
What you will need:
1 bag of Autumn Mix
1 bag of Indian Corn
1 bag of Reese’s Pieces
1 can of Party Peanuts
1 cup of Sunflower seeds
1 cup of Raisins
1 cup of Cran-Raisins
1 cup of Mini Pretzels
Pour all ingredients into a large bowl, except the mini pretzel and mix thoroughly.
(Mini Pretzel may draw moisture from the dried fruit so I suggest putting the pretzels in only the part of the mix you plan to use at that time. If you are going to give it as a gift, I suggest leaving the pretzels out and maybe tell the friend they could add pretzels when they plan to use the mix.)
It’s also good to give as a gift to someone who might need a bit of encouragement.
I like to put it in jars and tie a ribbon around it.
It also looks good in a centerpiece on a buffet table.
This is one of my favorite mixes all year round.
Hope you will make it and enjoy it with your friends and family this season.
Blessings,

This was not good for me. The dried fruits make everything else kind of stale after a few days. I dont like stale pretzels 🙂
Jo-Ann says
Lacy, I am sorry this did not do good for you. If you are not going to use it all at one time I would suggest putting the pretzels in only the part of the mix you plan to use at that time. If you are going to give it as a gift leave the pretzels out and maybe tell the friend they could add pretzels if they would like when they plan to use them. Thank you for letting me know. I will make note in the recipe. Blessings, Jo-Ann
