Scripture to Live By:
Philippians
2:5-11
In
your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being
in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to
be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a
servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he
humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave
him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee
should bow, in
heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to
the glory of God the Father.
Recipe Post:
There are many of my friends and family that are working on eating healthier. Some of us are trying to lose some of those extra ‘holiday’ pounds and curb our appetites. We are being told to eat more fruits and vegetables and to eat less processed food for a healthier body. So if you are one of us that are trying to do this, I think you will like this recipe. My husband and I are making the most of it and are feeling the effects and seeing results. We are trying to stay away from sweets that are not natural.
What you will need:
2 cups of frozen or fresh strawberries
1 cup of fresh or canned pineapple (in own juice)
1 cup of frozen or fresh blueberries
1 banana
2 cups of grape juice (I used homemade grape juice that I had canned, you could also use bottled Cranberry Raspberry or Cherry, or any combination.)
If you are not using frozen fruit add 1 cup of ice cubes.
Variations: Sometimes I add a kiwi, mandarin oranges, or even add a few spinach leaves to get in a vegetable.
Measure out your ingredients and put in the blender in the order give above.
Add you 2 cups of juice
Blend until smooth on low setting. You may need to use a spoon to mix from the bottom, if your blender is struggling. (Turn blender off before stirring.)
When your fruit is blended smoothly. Pour into goblets.
Whether you are drinking it alone or with a friend, it is so refreshing and energizing.
I like to drink it out of goblets for the effect. It is so refreshing and I know it it filled with antioxidants which are so good for our bodies.
Add a touch of fruit on the side of the glass. I have a chunk of pineapple on the glasses here.
My husband and I share this drink at least three days a week.
Health Specialist say we need to eat 5 fruit a day. Here is a way to get them in one drink.
So if you are looking for a healthy drink to share with your “Sweet Heart” or a drink you can share with your family or friends, why not try this Healthy 5 Fruit Smoothie.
Blessings,

I must get back in the habit of fixing smoothies. Yours certainly do look inviting. Mine were made with milk and fruit, but using juice is good especially for those who can't tolerate milk products.

I found this recipe on Pinterest. I enjoy smoothies a least 3 to 4 times a week. It is an easy meal to have for breakfast or lunch and they really fill you up. Having smoothies helps to reduce your daily number of calories because it keeps you full longer. I sometime include whey protein in my smoothie which increases the protein content.
