Scriptures to Live By:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs 18:21
The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Proverbs 10:11
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Psalm 141:3
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Colossians 4:6
Our words can do much good or much damage. They can be life giving or they can be life destroying. God wants us to be very careful of the words we speak. God describes our tongues very vividly in the book of James 3:8-10
“But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
There with bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.”
My prayer is that God would help me to please Him with the way I use my tongue. God’s Word says, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” Ephesians 4:15
If I can’t speak the truth in a loving way it is not time for me to speak. I need His help to honor Him with my tongue.
Home Improvement:
My husband and I are in the process of moving from our home in Ohio to our home in West Virginia. We realized we needed more room to store much of the stuff we are moving. We decided to buy a building already built and just have it moved onto our property. So here is what we did.
We went to several places looking at building that are built off site and moved to your property completely finished. The place we chose to purchase our building from was Yoder’s Buildings.
The building is 14 feet wide and 32 feet long.
After purchasing the building we measured the area where the building would sit. We sprayed that area with grass killer. The ground was very uneven so we leveled that area the best we could. My husband worked many hours trying to make it as level as he could using a shovel, rake, and mattock.
The day came when our building arrived.
But there was a problem, the drivers didn’t think they could bring it down the road leading to our house nor make the 90 degree turn that led to our driveway. After about 40 minutes of discussing what to do. They ask a gentleman that lives above us if they could take down his fence to bring it through his field, to get it to our house. He told them “NO”, but they could bring it in his drive way and around his house and barns, then through his field that lead to another neighbors field to get it to our house. So this is what they did.
So close to taking out the fence.
They had to jack the building over and move a wood pile to get it into his drive way .
The building still has to go around a barn and through a two fields to get to our house.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw our building coming through a field.
Delivered safe and sound.
Wait, it is going in the wrong direction, to sit on the lot.
We wanted the garage door facing the opposite direction.
It must be turned around.
Yes, they turned it around and lowered it off the trailer.
Placing it exactly on the spot my husband had laid out for it to sit.
Now to level it up.
These men did an excellent job.
We were so pleased with the job they did and the effort they put into doing their best.
The building is set and the men are finished with their job.
They are leaving, but not before they gave us a CD of one of their ministry services.
What a blessing to work with godly people that would share their faith.
As you can see, the building is quite roomy.
It should hold a lot of things, as well as making a nice work shop for my beloved husband.
We want to carpet and insulate it so it will be nice for winter as well.
Our son came to visit the next week and helped his dad put up gutters to
keep the rain water away from the building.
Next, my husband started working on the under skirting that matched the building.
I began painting it the same color as the building.
We also started planting some flowers around it. We are so glad they are growing and bloomimg.
Some are coming up and hopefully they will add some beauty to it as well.
We still want to add some wooden steps and white shutters to it,but that is for another day.
If you are thinking of adding a small storage barn or a work shop, I think this building is such a time saver to doing it yourself. We felt it was well worth the money. The building blends well with our house.
Do you agree?
Blessings,

We are so thankful to have it as we move so many things that we have not figured out where we want to put them at this time. Yes it will look better with the shutters but I will have to wait for them. Blessings to you. Jo-Ann

Nice! I love all that storage potential, but it will make a super workshop! It looks brand new. Did you have it built offsite, or just purchase a used building?
Jo-Ann says
Thank you for your comment. Yes we did have it built off site. It is brand new. We are so thankful for the extra storage that we so needed. Blessing to you, Jo-Ann

Wow those men worked hard to get your building to you, it would of been cool to see it coming through a "field". It is a very nice size building and glad your hubs will have his work space plus lots of storage. Glad to see your flowers filling, a nice looking area. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!

Cathy, Thank you for viewing my post and for having you linky party. We are so thankful for the building. I wish you could have been here to see it coming through the field. What a great idea! And quite the adventure getting it all settled in its spot. I wish we had those type of businesses down here in southwest Louisiana. Since we just built and moved into new home, I'm already realizing the need for either extra storage like that or a tremendous clean sweep garage sale! I enjoy your blog and saw you on The Shabby Nest. Thanks for sharing.
Jo-Ann says
Casandra, I am so glad you enjoyed my blog and that you would leave such a nice comment.I think we still need a garage sale, even with the building but it has helped tremendously. Blessings to you. Jo-Ann

I would love to have a detached garage/workshop like that…and turn our 2 car garage into a living space for our family. The thing is that it will have to be built on site, in our case
