Scripture to Live By:
But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-12
Craft Post:
I needed some frames that looked alike to house two pictures that I really like. One of the paintings is a woman Saying Grace by Richard Brooks. The other painting is called Daily Bread Man Praying, some say the actual name is Grace.
I purchased one of them at a flea market and the other one I ordered on line. They are not by the same artist but I have always enjoyed these paintings. They were displayed at one of my favorite restaurants for years but was replaced by scenery paintings. When I found the one, I was thrilled to be able to purchase it. Then I began to look for the other one, I am so glad I could purchase both of them reasonably.
I wanted matching picture frames so I began looking around in my stash of frames and found these two that looked similar and were just the right size. The frames 16 x 20 inches and they looked enough alike to display together. But I did want them to be the same color so I began checking paints that I liked and would match with my oak table and chairs.
The frames below are the ones I chose to use.
After they were painted they would look fine. The colors in the pictures would blend with the wood frames as well as my dining room table and cabinets which are oak.
I used acrylic Honey Brown paint. It dries quickly. After it dries you can spay it with a sealant paint.
After painting Let dry thoroughly.
Now it was time to put my paintings in the frames.
See how well the colors in the picture blends with the frame.
Then I displayed them on my dining room wall.
You can make any frame look new by refreshing them with a coat of paint. I am very pleased with the way they turned out. Hope you like them as well.
Blessings,
