Scripture to Live By:
So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matt 7:12
In our relationships with others including our spouses, children, siblings, friends as well as acquaintances, we need to treat them the way we would like to be treated. Some call the verse above the “Golden Rule”. God’s is telling us how to live in relationships. When we do not treat others as we would like to be treated, we sin against them because God has told us to treat them as we would like to be treated. We disobey Him as well.
Sin separates people from people and people from God.
Is their anyone you are treating in a way you would not wish to be treated? In relationships, are you separated from someone? Is there a distance between you and another person? If so, why not confess it to God and seek Him to help you restore that relationship and honor His Word.
Helpful Tip
Now is the season for displaying owl crafts, owl cookies, owl banners and various other things with owls.
We display our owl on our porch. You might ask, Why on the porch? Well, there is a good reason why I do so. Birds love our porch.
I was sharing with a friend that we had a problem with birds using our porch. They like to perch on the window seals and the furniture that is on the porch.
In the spring they would build their nest on it and raise their young. The birds would leave their droppings and make a mess on the porch, as well as on my furniture.
My friend told me she had heard that artificial owls are a good deterrent to keeping birds out of unwanted areas. So I purchased an owl and hung it on the porch. It has been a huge deterrent to the birds.
Placing the owl there may not be so decorative, but it surely solved our problem and has saved our fabric covered furniture.
Now that it is fall, we have replaced our summer patio furniture with a table and four chairs, and a fall arrangement. My owl continues to hang there, and the birds are kept at bay. I love birds but I do not like them roosting on my furniture and leaving their droppings.
We are surrounded by mountains, and it is so nice to sit on our back porch,
and watch the leaves changing on the mountains while drinking our morning coffee.
It is also nice to
eat lunch out there without seeing
droppings of the birds on my furniture.
If you like to sit on your porch or patio, and you are having a problem
with bird droppings, why not try my owl tip.

How blessed you are to have such a lovely view of God's handiwork.
The ornamental owls definitely help deter birds. My brother-in-law uses them around his yard, as well.
Jo-Ann says
I am certainly blessed to have His beauty all around me. My husband came it this afternoon and ask for the camera and said just look at the beauty of the river and the leaves changing. It really was breath taking. I am so glad you viewed my blog and left the comment about your brother-in-law uses them around his yard. Blessings to you, Jo-Ann

Angela sent this to me to look at for the owl and she joined your site. I enjoyed the Bible quote. And this is funny and Angela doesn't know this – we have an owl in the front and we don't get bird droppings or woodpeckers ruining our deck!
Jo-Ann says
Thank you so much for sharing about your owl and how you don't get bird droppings or woodpeckers. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. It is a blessing. Jo-Ann

It has worked well for us. Before we had droppings everywhere. Not anymore. Blessings, Jo-Ann
