Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
Colossians 3:1-10
The people who owned the home we purchased left various pieces of furniture that they no longer had any use for. We didn’t have any use for a few of them in the room that they were in, so I decided to use them for a different purpose.
I decided I could use the dresser for a Kitchen Buffet. I needed more storage in the kitchen. So for the time being, this would be a good addition. It was scratched up and needed a paint job.
So I repainted it.
I relined the drawers to match the valance in the kitchen.
I removed the knobs that were on the cabinet and bought ones that matched our Garage Sale Kitchen Cabinet Makeover cabinets.
This is how it looks newly painted and with new knobs.
I added a table runner and a fruit bowl, flower and a biscotti canister.
I love it when my projects cost very little.
This project only cost me the price of the knobs. They were $2.27 each.
I needed 7 for this project. (Cost 15.54 plus tax) I already had the paint and the shelf liner.
I think it looks nice in front of my large kitchen window.
It adds some much needed storage space. I am not one to throw away many things. I am always looking for ways that I can recycle them for other purposes.
This will work well for me. Hope you like it.
Blessings,

What a great project! I'm always in need of storage space too. My kitchen is my nemesis…with only 3 drawers. Clearly the builders didn't have a SAHM who cooks in mind when they built this house. 😉 I get so frustrated sometimes, but am usually thankful for what I have. I just try to make it work, adding bits of storage here and there. Your piece turned out beautifully.
Thank you so much for viewing my Recycled Kitchen Buffet. Glad you like it. I am so thankful for the added storage space. Hope you can find ways to add to your kitchen storage. Blessings to you. Thank you for the encouragement. Jo-Ann
looks great, good job 🙂
Thank you, Mama S, I appreciate your comment. Blessings, Jo-Ann
That turned out beautifully — can't beat almost FREE and getting extra storage, too!
The cabinet looks nice. I like the knob change too. Pretty fabric also.
I hope you'll come see My Daughter's Master Bath Redo! #83 at Met Monday.
