Scripture to Live By:
2 Corinthians 5:20
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
What is an ambassador? An Ambassador is one that has been called out to represent another. He does not speak for himself but on the behalf of the one who has called him to be one. In the case of a Christian, he or she has been called to represent God and to give out the message He has given them to give to the world around them.
What is the message God has given Christians to give to the world around them?
2 Corinthians 5:18-19
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
What a privilege it is to be a representative of the God of the universe and to speak on His behalf. Let’s be about the ministry of reconciliation as ambassadors for Christ. There are many around us that need to be reconciled to God.
Frugal Find Post:
Now is the time to find some great bargains on flowers. I was at Lowe’s the other day and they had their flowers marked 75% off their original price. I got 20 mums and 3 hanging baskets of pansies.
I got the 20 mums for 22 cents each. The total cost was $4.40 for all of them.
I got three hanging baskets of pansies for $2.33 each.
The total for the three baskets of pansies was $6.99.
Total cost of all the flowers I bought was $11.39. If I had paid the full price for the flowers the total cost would have been $45.56. I saved $34.17 by waiting until they were marked down to buy them. I love getting a bargain any time, but especially on flowers.
I like flowers that will survive the winter and will come up the following year. I have found this to be true with mums and pansies in my yard the last few years. So I thought I would buy more this year. I have planted them and I am enjoying looking at their beauty now, as well as, look forward to seeing how they will do next year.
Before I planted the mums in my flower garden,
I took a picture of the pansies surrounded with the mums,
Putting them together like this made for a pretty picture, don’t you agree.
If you want to find bargains on flowers, now is the time to look for them. I would rather buy them at the end of the season and enjoy them the next year. I enjoy paying a fourth of the original price. I can purchase more of them at the reduced price, than I could if I were paying full price.
The Lowe’s store I shop at has sales like this each year and I really enjoy getting a variety of flowers each year at bargain prices. I purchase 48 dianthus for $1.25 at Lowe’s which I have already planted. I look for flowers each time I go. I wanted to share my findings with you so that you might be on the look out for bargains like this. I am sure there are many other stores having such sales.
Check out Lowe’s and other stores that sale flowers and see if they have any bargains on their flowers in your area.

Those flowers are beautiful. It's definitely too cold around here for flowers though, even for mums. Besides I tend to kill flowers even in the best of weather = )

Wow! What a great deal! Some of the smaller flower pots would also make a great gift as an indoor plant. I would just make sure that the pot was a nice one.
Thanks for linking up at Frugal Thursday Rewind!

You are so right. I wish I had thought of giving them as gifts before I planted them. They would have needed a nicer pot to go in, I agree. Thank you for viewing my post and for taking the time to comment. Blessings, Jo-Ann

Flowers can be so expensive and you found some great flowers so inexpensively. It's getting cold here so the only flowers that would make it are the pansies. Loving the colors! Thanks for sharing your inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
